About the Program
This program is open to students of ALL AGES anywhere around the globe! The program runs July 6 through July 31.
We have assembled an all-star faculty to lead this four-week program (see complete list of instructors below).
Two tracks are being offered: one track with both classes and a performance ensemble, and another track with classes only. Students will meet online Monday through Friday (or Tuesday through Thursday for non-ensemble attendees) for 75 minutes each day. Classes will delve into jazz history, jazz improvisation, masterclasses with the experts, and playing in an ensemble.
Students may choose to play in an ensemble or not. Ensembles will be comprised of seven or eight students and meet Mondays and Fridays. If you enroll in an ensemble you will meet the full five days a week. If you choose not to participate in an ensemble you will meet Tuesday through Thursday (3 sessions per week).
Gilbert Castellanos, Joel Frahm, Helen Sung, Oscar Hernadez (Spanish Harlem Orchestra), Marcus Printup (Jazz @ Lincoln Center), Willie Jones III, Grahm Dechter, Katie Thiroux, Jeff Lederer, Joe Bagg, Adam Schroeder, Charlie Arbelaez, Rob Thorsen, Bob Boss.
